Their friendship is temporary, like the seasons

Their love may be genuine, but their motive selfish

It is all conjured by their loneliest reasons

Fueled by the sorrow that cuddles with them at night

Panged by the jealously that won’t answer their wish

To have someone, like everyone else, to make them feel right

Fishing in an endless pond, they want to find their fish

Tired of walking alone, they insert anyone in the spot

To feed them hope about the future waiting ahead

Hoping to find the yellow brick road to their one shot

Of happiness waiting to consume them from their head

to the toes, as they blend into the marvelous backdrop

of love whisking them away from the world

Leaving you standing deserted in the wilderness alone.
